Discord is one of the most popular apps among the gaming community. Millions of people use it to communicate with their friends daily. They rely on the program to stay in touch with teammates and guildmates.
Together, they can create the perfect strategies to overcome many different challenges. Each challenge can be more difficult than the next. That is why being active is very important for them. Communication is the key to success.
For those who care about timing and responding to messages, toggling the Discord notification is crucial. If you don’t want to miss a single message from Discord, you need to toggle your notifications. You can never have enough notifications.
The timing allows you to be in complete control over what’s happening in the chat. This is an important feature for teammates and guilds that need to be active to always come up with the right strategies.
Luckily for everyone, Discord has a pretty customizable notification system. You can control it the way you want to. There are plenty of options for you to select. If you are new to discord and you don’t want to miss a single message, this guide can help solve that problem.
This is an easy step-by-step guide. Just follow it and you will enable the notifications in a matter of seconds. Here is what you should do.
Go to the “Settings” menu. The icon is on the bottom left side of the Discord screen next to your profile picture. Select the button to open up the “User Settings”.
Once you open up the “User Settings” you will see there are plenty of features for you to explore. To toggle the notifications, simply press on the “Notifications” submenu. It is the third one from the “App Settings” menu. See the screenshot below if you can’t find it.
Once you select the “Notifications” submenu, a new menu will pop up on the right side of the screen. This is the one you are looking for. Here you can toggle the notifications on or off. To get notifications whenever someone writes you a message, toggle the first option.
If you enable the second option, you will see a red badge on all of your unread messages. This is ideal for keeping all of your messages in check. If you have a lot of people in your friend list, the red badge will show you the message you have missed.
The third option notifies you when you get a new message. The app will flash in the taskbar. To avoid getting notification all the time on your phone, you can toggle the fourth option. It is a convenient option.
To avoid getting spammed with notifications, you can select the timer when to start getting them when you are not on your computer. In this case, we have selected 10 minutes. So, if we are AFK for 10 minutes, we will start receiving notifications on the phone.
