You and your teammates are actively participating in every challenge. You are working together to overcome any situation. Without proper communication, this is almost impossible. That is why many people use Discord – a communication platform that keeps everyone together.
With more than 130 million users across the globe, Discord has become one of the best places for gamers to stay in touch. That is what inspires new users to download and try Discord for the very first time.
How to Share Your Screen?
Discord offers plenty of different features. Each has something unique to offer. If you recently downloaded this social platform, you might not know how to use all of its features. For any new user, it can be a bit overwhelming to figure them all out. That’s exactly why we made this guide for you.
Today we will focus on sharing your screen with your friends on Discord. It is very easy to do. We made a quick step-by-step guide that is clear and easy to understand. Here is what you should do if you want to share your screen.
Open Discord and go to your friend list. Pick the friend you want to share your screen with.
Once you’ve pressed on the name, a new mini section will open. On this mini section, there are a couple of options you can select. Locate the phone icon. It is the second icon next to the camera option. Press the icon to call your friend.
When your friend picks up, another screen will pop up. This is your call screen. Select the first option on the left, the one that looks like a monitor. Press it to share your screen. See the screenshot below if you can’t find it.
Now, a completely different window will appear. This is the last window you would have to select. This window offers plenty of features for you to work with. You can select the quality of the stream you are going to share. You can also select the frame rate.
Have in mind that if you want to share your screen in HQ resolution, like 720p or 1080p, you will have to have a solid internet connection. If your internet is too slow, your stream will be shared with 480p. To share your screen with the best resolution, which is 1080p, you need Discord Nitro. This is a premium version.
Another thing to point out are the two options on the top. You can select to share your entire screen or experiment more with the settings at “Application Window”. When you are done with setting up your screen share, go ahead and press on the “Share” button. Once you start sharing, your friend will see your screen.
If you’ve changed your mind and you don’t want to share the screen, you can always press on the “Cancel” option. It is next to the “Share” button.
That’s it! Now you know how to share your screen with your friends on Discord.
As you can see, all these steps are very easy to follow. They won’t take too much of your time or effort. This is a big plus, especially if you want to get things done quickly. The screen share option is so useful, you will use it all the time. Now that you know how to, you won’t have any problems sharing your screen with friends.
