Setting Up A Gmail Account

Most of the existing apps and software require you to sign in using an email account and what’s usually used by people is a Gmail account.

Gmail

Although it’s primarily used to professionally communicate with other people—in business, academic, or personal purposes—through sending out emails, having a Gmail account will be very efficient with connecting to different apps and platforms.

What’s more about it is that you can easily monitor the activities and updates of the apps and software you connect to your Gmail account. They automatically send out an email to your account and all you have to do is check them in your inbox tab.

In this guide, you’re going to learn how to set up a Gmail account in just 7 simple steps.

1. Navigate to mail.google.com.

To begin, you have to open your web browser and go to Gmail.

2. Click the “Create Account” button.

After you’ve navigated to Gmail, you’ll notice two “Create Account” buttons, one in the top-right corner and one in the middle of the page. You can choose any of them and still be directed to the same window.

3. Input the required information then click “Next.”

Fill out the registration form with all of the required information. Enter your name, the username you want to use for that Gmail account, and the password you want to use. It is important to note that for your account to be safer, you must use a strong password that has a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Also, make sure that the details you fill in are complete; otherwise, your registration will not be accepted.

4. Choose the country you’re from then type your mobile number.

After you’ve entered the required information, Google will direct you to a new screen. You must first select your country on the right side of the box on this screen. Providing your country will assist Google in determining the number format to be used.

This step is optional; however, if you believe your account is not sufficiently safe, you can do it for added security as it will request another layer of verification.

5. Input your personal information then select “Next.”

Gmail will request personal information such as your birthday and gender. Both are required; however, under the gender section, you can select “Choose not to say” if you do not wish to reveal your gender.

6. Verify your number then click “Send.”

Check to see whether the number you entered is correct, then click the “Send” button in the lower right corner of the screen. Google will send a message to the phone number you provided with a verification code to enter on your screen.

7. Review the privacy terms then select “I agree.”

All that remains for you to do is check Google’s service terms and privacy policy. To finish making your account, click “I agree” at the bottom of the screen.

Build Connections with Gmail

Whether you’re planning to create a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter account, or just wish to communicate with other people through professional emails, Gmail can greatly assist you with that. Not only will it keep your information safe, but it will also help you stay connected and updated about the recent activities occurring in different apps and platforms.
