How To View FPS In Roblox

Do you want to check if a Roblox game is running smoothly on your device? Or do you want to see the performance stats of a game that you’re developing? Either way, we’re here to help you. In our guide below, we’ll teach you how to view your FPS on Roblox, whether you’re playing a game or creating one.

Gaming

Your FPS (frames per second) tells you how many images appear on your screen each second. For example, at 60 FPS, 60 still images will appear on your screen every second.

If you have a high frame rate, you get to see your games much faster and smoother. On the other hand, a low number of FPS may result in lagging or choppy gameplay.

With that in mind, checking your FPS is one of the ways to test if you can play Roblox on your device smoothly. Aside from that, you can view it when you’re developing a game on the Roblox Studio.

Without further ado, here’s our guide on how to view your FPS on Roblox.

How to view your FPS inside a Roblox game

To check if you can run Roblox games smoothly, you can toggle the summary of your stats in-game. Once you do, you get to see your current FPS in real-time. Follow our quick tutorial below to learn how.

On your computer:
  1. Using your preferred web browser, visit Roblox and sign-in to your account.
  2. Find a game you want to play and click the green Play button to launch it in your Roblox Player.

If you don’t have the app on your computer, you have to download and install it first. After you do, click the green Play button once again to launch it on the Roblox Player.
  3. Once you’re inside the game, press Shift + F5 on your keyboard to display your stats window. After toggling turning it on, you can find your FPS on the stats window on the upper left side of your screen.

Aside from checking your FPS using Shift + F5, you can also use Shift + F1, F2, F3, and F4 to view other statistics in-game. You can also open your Settings and turn-on Microprofiler and Performance Stats.

After checking your frame rate, you can go ahead and see whether you can play a Roblox game smoothly on your computer or not. If you see that the frame rate is relatively low, you might want to upgrade your specs.

On mobile devices:

Unfortunately, viewing your FPS and some game statistics isn’t available on Roblox mobile. However, you can still open your Microprofiler and Performance Stats through your app Settings in-game.

How to check your FPS in the Roblox Studio

  4. You can find your FPS above the Heartbeat stat.

To view your frame rate while playing, you can test the game on the Roblox Studio. To do so, head to the Home tab and select the Play button. Alternatively, you can press F5 on your keyboard to start.

On the other hand, you can press Ctrl + Shift + F5 while you’re on the game editor to view the summary of your stats data. In this way, you get to see your frame rate without opening your Performance window.
