On your computer:

Using the Grid layout allows you to view up to 10 participants on your screen. It’s also the default view on your meetings and calls.

But if you want to focus on the active participants in your meeting, you can use the Speaker view. This layout allows Skype to automatically switch the screen to the video feed of the person that’s currently speaking.

Aside from these features, you can also use the Large grid option to view up to 49 video streams at once, arrange in a 7×7 layout. It’s perfect if you want to monitor what the other participants are doing in your meeting.

Lastly, you can use the Together mode layout to make everyone appear next to each other in an auditorium or a meeting room. You can use this view setting to reduce distractions from the video streams of other participants.

On Android:

  1. Launch the Skype app from your app drawer, and make sure to sign-in to your account.
  2. Join an existing meeting or create a new one.
  3. Once you’re inside the room, tap the Call layout button on the upper right side of your screen.

Aside from changing the layout during meetings, you can use the Large grid, Speaker view, and Together mode feature during group calls.
