If you want to send messages or content that disappear on Instagram, you can use the Vanish mode feature on your chats. Anything sent during Vanish mode disappears when someone leaves the chat or turns off the feature.

You can use the vanish mode feature on chats from the Instagram mobile app. Follow our step-by-step tutorial below and we’ll show you how to do so.

On your phone:

1. Launch Instagram from your home screen or app drawer and log in to your account.
2. Click the Messenger icon on the top right corner of the app and open one of your conversations.
   
   
3. Tap the header of the conversation.
   
   
4. Toggle the Vanish mode option and tap the back arrow to return to the conversation.
   
   

Note: Vanish mode might not be available to some countries or regions.
