How To Use Notepad On ClickUp

Aside from collaboration tools, there are also things on ClickUp that you can use privately. You can use the notepad on your workspace to save messages, images, and other stuff that you don’t want to show to other workspace members right away.

By default, the notepad option is available for all users on ClickUp. You can create an unlimited number of notes on the app while making their contents private from other workspace members.

How to take quick notes on ClickUp

If you want to note down important stuff within your ClickUp workspace, you can use the notepad option on your account. You can also use it as a space to draft tasks that you want to add to your workspace in the future.

You can use the notepad option from the ClickUp desktop, web, or mobile app. We’ll show you how to use one on your workspace on the app.

On your computer:

  1. Open the ClickUp desktop or web app and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Quick actions button on the bottom right part of the app.

  3. On the menu that appears, select “Notepad.”

  4. Type the name of your new note and click Create.

  5. Add the messages or other stuff that you want to save in your note.

That’s how you use the notepad on the ClickUp desktop and web app. You can type “/” to check all the commands you can use within your notes.

On your phone:

  1. Open the ClickUp app from your home screen or app drawer and sign in to your account.
  2. Tap the Quick actions icon on the bottom right of the app.

  3. On the menu that appears, select “Notepad.”

  4. Choose a name for your new note and tap Create.

  5. Tap on your screen and start typing messages.

Everything in your notepad is private, meaning that only you can access them on ClickUp. You can convert existing notes into documents or tasks in the future.

Everyone in your workspace can take notes on their own notepads, including guests. To share one of your notes, you can convert it to a document or task.
