How To Use Bumble Without Paying
Last Updated: September 24, 2020
Bumble is a quite new and grossing dating app. You can use it to find your next loving partner, a friend, or even just to expand your social or working network. It works in a similar way than other dating apps. You create a profile, upload at least one photo of yourself, and start looking at the possible candidates.
However, the thing that makes Bumble stand out from the rest is that when a man matches a girl, the later has to make the first choice. In other words, the girl has to write the first message. Or you will not be able to write anything to her. This gave women the power to control communication and avoid any awkward situations.
It is a free app, but like all dating apps, some functionalities are restricted. To have access to them, you must pay with real-world money. However, there is no real need to pay to be able to find that unique person.
Once you finish setting up your account; it is hunting time! If you see a profile that you like, you can either swipe right or click the check icon at the bottom of the profile picture.
But hey! This doesn’t mean that you can automatically speak to the other person. You must wait until he or she likes your profile. Be patient.
If you accidentally swipe someone left, you can undo it by either shaking your phone or by clicking on the back at the bottom of the screen of your PC. You can do this three times every three hours.
I Don’t Like Someone
In contrast, if you don’t like someone you can either swipe left or click on the X button at the bottom of the screen. If you like someone, and that someone swipes you left, you won’t get any alert.
Talking to Your Match
Once you and your match have liked each other, you can start a conversation. As said before, the woman has to be the first one to write. If both of you are of the same sex, either person can write. To start a conversation, choose the person that you wish to talk to and write him or her a message.
As a free user, you have just 24 hours to send the first message, and your match has 24 extra hours to reply to it. You can extend the time with a little payment.
Setting your preferences
You can filter possible candidates according to the things you like. For example, if you like a certain hobby, you can select it, and people with that same hobby will appear first. It goes without saying; the more filter you put, the fewer candidate you will see.
This is how Bumble works as a free user. SuperSwipes, Spotlight, rematch ability, and extended reply deadlines are among the pre-paid benefits. Of course, you are not compelled to pay anything. It is up to you to decide whether or not you can take advantage of these perks.
