You can set up different automation on the ClickUp desktop or web app. In our tutorial below, we’ll show you how to create custom automation on your workspace.

On your computer:

  1. Open the ClickUp desktop or web app and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Automate option on one of the views you have on your workspace.

  3. On the menu that appears, select the “Add Automation” option.

  4. Once the automation window appears, select the “Custom automation” option.

  5. Choose the trigger and conditions for your new automation.

  6. Choose the actions the app will automatically do once your automation launches.

  7. Click Create to confirm your decision.

Automation can make your workflow on ClickUp faster. You can use this option to speed up repetitive actions that people usually do in your workspace.

Please note that there’s a limit to automated actions you can use on your workspace every month. For example, those on the Free Forever plan can only use 100 automated actions per month.

The number of available automated actions varies depending on the plan you’re using for your workspace. The counter resets for every first of the month.
