When playing My Time at Portia, you’ll soon realize that you need certain tools, weapons, and items to progress through the game. Most of these, you’ll be crafting through the Worktable. Most of the items that aren’t made using the Assembly Station are made using the Worktable. You will need to upgrade this crafting station to unlock more items available for crafting.
What is the Worktable?

The Worktable is a crafting station left by the player’s father along with the Workshop. There are many items you can craft using the Worktable like Tools, Weapons, Equipment, Food, Furniture, and Parts. You can upgrade the Worktable twice and as you upgrade it, you unlock more items to craft.
Upgrading the Worktable
You might be a little confused on how to upgrade the Worktable when you’re starting out. To upgrade your Worktable you need to access the Catalog at the A&G Construction office. A&G Construction is owned by Albert and Gust. It’s located next to the Commerce Guild in Peach Plaza and is open from 8:00 – 18:00 daily.

Once there, you can use the Catalog to both move and upgrade your Worktable. You’ll also find other useful upgrades or construction of other buildings and workstations in the Catalog.

The Worktable has two upgrades. For the Level 2 upgrade, you’ll need 2000 Gols, 20 Wooden Board, and 5 Old Parts. For the Level 3 upgrade, you’ll need 10000 Gols, 30 Hardwood Plank, and 30 Old Parts.
Useful Tips
- The material cost of upgrading will be reduced by 10% if the player is buddies with Albert. The Gols cost will be reduced by 3% if the player is buddies with Gust and by 6% if the player is his lover.
- The Artisan skill can significantly reduce the material cost of crafting at the Worktable by up to 20%.
