The game was released for all major platforms: PC through the Epic Games store, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. As backwards compatibility is a feature for both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, you can expect to continue playing Spellbreak through there.

- PC players will have the advantage in flicks and quick looking movement, but they have a disadvantage when tracking targets. Console players have aim assist that allows them to track targets much easier than when using a mouse and keyboard.
- Movement is tougher on console because of analog sticks, which take longer to register input compared to keyboards. That is why may console players may move slower compared to most people on keyboards.
Crossplay in Spellbreak is possible, but not always recommended. If you’re fine to play at a disadvantage, then you don’t have to turn it off!

There are players who are also very good with controllers. These are people who spent many hours playing games that require precise movement, such as many shooters and action games. They have more or less better control over analog sticks than they do with mouse and keyboard, sometimes better. For these people, playing crossplay is just a better challenge.
