How to disable comments on Steam

On your computer:

1. Open the Steam desktop app and sign in to your account.

4. Head to the Privacy Settings tab.
   
   
5. Scroll down and set “Can post comments on my profile” as private.
   
   

When you set commenting to private, only you can post comments on your profile. You can set it to “Friends Only” instead to allow your Steam friends to comment on your profile.

On your phone:

1. Launch the Steam mobile app and sign in to your account.
2. Tap your profile icon on the top right.
3. Select the View Profile option.
   
   
4. Tap the Edit Profile button on your profile page.
   
   
5. Head to the Privacy Settings tab.
   
   
6. Scroll down and set “Can post comments on my profile” to Private.
   
   

Changing your entire profile’s privacy setting to “Private” automatically turns off comments on your account.

Disabling comments on your account won’t delete existing ones on your profile. You need to delete them manually to remove them from your profile page.
