You can make a collaborator as the owner of a workspace whether you’re using Airtable on your phone or computer. Follow our quick tutorial below, and we’ll show you how to do it from both devices.

On your computer:

1. Open the Airtable web app and sign in to your account.
2. Browse your workspaces and click the member icons on the one you want to manage.
   
   
3. Check the collaborators and change the permission level of the person you want to promote to an owner.
   
   
4. On the menu that appears on your screen, select the “Owner” option.
   
   

That’s how you promote one of your workspace collaborators to an owner on Airtable. After doing so, you can step down as one of the owners or leave the workspace in the future.

If you ever change your mind about leaving the workspace, you can ask one of the workspace owners to invite you back to join the workspace.
