How To Set Your Own Domain In Notion

Do you want to customize how your Notion page links appear when shared to the web? Do you want to display a domain of your choosing? If that’s the case, you can set up your own domain for your workspace and pages on the app. Follow our guide below, and we’ll teach you how to do so.

Tutorial

Aside from using Notion to take notes or collaborate on a project, you can also use the app to publish or share pages to the web. As such, you can use Notion to start your blog, job portfolio, and other stuff.

By default, the app gives you a random domain for all the pages that you share or publish to the web. However, you have the option to set one that you like.

Here’s our guide about setting your domain on Notion.

How to add a domain to your Notion workspace

If you want to fix your default domain on Notion, you can customize it to your own liking. As long as there’s no one else using the domain you want, you can apply it to your workspace and the pages you publish.

You can edit your domain from the Notion web or desktop app. Check our tutorial below, and we’ll show you every step to do so.

On your computer:

  1. Launch the Notion desktop app or visit their web client and sign in to your account.
  2. Click “Settings & members” on the sidebar.

  3. Go to “Settings” under the Workspace section.

  4. Type your new domain in the field under the Domain section and check if it’s available for use. If the name is not available, try another one.

  5. Click “Update” at the bottom of the window to confirm your decision.

Note: Only admins of the workspace can customize its domain.

That’s how you customize your domain on Notion. All pages that you share on the web will be using the new domain that you selected.

If you ever change your mind, you can always update your domain on the app whenever you want. As long as the new name is available for use, you can add it as the workspace domain.

To wrap things up

Now that you know how to customize your domain in Notion, you can add your brand to the links of the pages you publish and share on the web. Always remember that you can always update your domain as long as you have admin permission for the workspace.
