Aside from assigning tasks and creating documents to collaborate with other workspace members on ClickUp, you can use the whiteboard option on the app. Whiteboards allow you to have a space where you can work with other people in our outside of your workspace easily.

How to add a whiteboard view on ClickUp

If you want a space on ClickUp where you can collaborate with your other workspace members, you can set up a whiteboard view on the app. You can use this feature to brainstorm concepts, plan different workflows, and more.

You can create whiteboards from the ClickUp web or desktop app. We’ll show you each step to create one on your workspace in our tutorial below.

On your computer:

  1. Open the ClickUp web or desktop app and sign in to your workspace.
  2. Find the list, space, or folder where you want a new whiteboard and click the three dots icon.

  3. Once the menu appears, click “Create new” > Whiteboard.

  4. Choose from the available templates or start from scratch. We’ll go with the latter option in this tutorial.

  5. Explore the toolbar and add content to fill up your whiteboard with data.

That’s how you create a whiteboard on ClickUp. You can check the available templates if you’re having trouble creating a whiteboard from scratch.

Those on the Free Forever Workspace plan can only create up to 3 whiteboards, while those using the Unlimited plan can create up to 10. If you want to have more whiteboards on your workspace, subscribe to the Business, Business plan, or Enterprise option.

Everyone in your workspace can use whiteboards, including guests. When you share a whiteboard with people outside your workspace, they can access and use it without joining as a member.
