How to create an event on Discord

You can schedule an event on your server, whether you’re using Discord on your computer or mobile device. Follow our step-by-step tutorials below, and we’ll show you how to do it from both.

Note: You can create an event for your voice channel, stage channel, or other locations. In our tutorials below, we’ll go for the event for a voice channel.

On your computer:

1. Launch the Discord desktop app or open their web browser client and sign in to your account.
2. Head to the server where you want to schedule an event and click its name on the top left. On the menu that appears, select “Create Event.”
   
3. Choose whether to create an event for a voice channel, stage channel, or somewhere else.
   
   
4. Choose the channel or location where you want to host the event and click Next.
   
   
5. Add the event details such as the topic, schedule, and description. Tap the Next button after filling up the details.
   
   
6. Check the event preview and click “Create Event” to confirm your decision.
   
   

After scheduling an event, server members can mark themselves as “Interested” to receive notifications when you start the event. In this way, they can join the event without missing out.

On the Discord mobile app:

1. After signing in to your account, click the hamburger icon on the upper left corner of the current channel.
2. Go to the server where you want to schedule and tap its name on the top of the screen.
3. On the server options that appear on your screen, tap Create Event.
   
   
4. Select the type of event and choose the channel or location for your event. Tap Next to continue.
   
   
5. Add the event details such as the topic, schedule, and description. Tap the Next button after filling up the details.
   
   
6. Check the preview and tap “Create Event” to confirm your decision.

You can check all the events within your server by clicking the Events tab on your server’s channels list. From there, you can start, manage, or delete your events.
