How to resize one of your designs in Canva

If you want to post your designs on different social media platforms, you can resize them to match the recommended post size for the specific app. As long as you have a Pro, Teams, or Education subscription, you can use the resize option on all your designs on Canva.

You can resize designs whether you’re using Canva on your phone or computer. Check our tutorials below, and we’ll teach you how to use the feature on your account.

On your computer:

1. Launch the Canva desktop app or visit their web client and sign in to your account.
2. Open one of the designs that you want to resize.
3. Click the “Resize” option on the upper left side of the app.
   
   
4. Choose from the available size presets or set a custom size for your design.
   
   
5. Choose whether to resize the current design or create a copy.
   
   

If you choose to use a custom size, the minimum dimension you can use is 40 x 40 px, while the maximum is 8000 x 3125 px. If you see that the Custom size fields appear red, it means that the app doesn’t support the value you entered.

On your phone:

1. Launch the Canva mobile app and sign in to your account.
2. Open the design you want to resize.
3. Tap More options (three dots icon) on the upper right side of the design editor.
   
   
4. Once the menu appears, select the Resize option.
   
   
5. Choose from the available size presets or enter the custom size dimensions you want for your design.
   
   
6. Tap Resize to apply the changes to your current design or “Copy & resize” to create a new resized design.
   
   

That’s how you resize designs on Canva. If you don’t have a subscription on your account, you can’t use the resize option whether you’re using the web, mobile, or desktop app.

Can you resize specific pages on your design on Canva?

Unfortunately, there’s no option to resize certain pages within a design on Canva. All pages within a design have one size.

If you want to group designs with different sizes together, you can add them to a folder on the app.
