How To Play Uranus In Mobile Legends
Last Updated: March 8, 2022
No other tank can match Uranus’ regeneration abilities in Mobile Legends. Here’s everything you need to know to get you started playing the Aethereal Defender.
Gaming
Overview
Uranus is best described as a walking fountain. That’s because his HP regeneration is so strong it’s almost as if he’s at the base the entire time. He’s an easy to play tank that has great wave clear making him perfect in an offlane role. He is sufficiently beefy enough that he can soak a lot of damage while remaining extremely mobile and dealing good consistent damage. With enough items, Uranus will be virtually unkillable in the late game.
Despite everything Uranus has going for him, there are quite a few drawbacks to playing him. For starters, he’s classified as a tank but has significantly lower base HP than other heroes from this class. His skills also tend to cost a lot of mana to use. To top it all off, Uranus lacks a hard crowd control ability making him a weak initiator. Overall, Uranus is still a solid tank that can fit a lot of team compositions. But, keep in mind that he doesn’t have any sort of crowd control. If you’re left to fill the role of a tank and your team lacks any heroes with initiation, you’ll be better off picking a different hero over Uranus.
Abilities
Uranus’ abilities are all geared towards being a pesky disruptor. He excels best when he dives the enemy backline and tries to draw their fire while his team tries to take out the carries.
Passive – Radiance

Uranus absorbs the energy generated by attacks made against him to strengthen himself, regenerating 3-14 HP per second for each stack, over 10 seconds. This effect can be stacked up to 20 times.
Radiance is what keeps Uranus alive during long battles. It is essentially the reason why he has such strong regenerative capabilities. The more enemies attack you, the more stacks of Radiance you get. This in turn massively increases Uranus’ strong regenerative capabilities.
First Skill – Ionic Edge

Uranus releases two energy blades that orbit around him, dealing 125–200 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemy targets and slowing them by 30% for 2 seconds.
Each time this skill deals damage to a target, the target will be marked with a stack that lasts 6 seconds[, up to 8 stacks]. Each stack increases the damage [of each energy blade] by 40% (to a maximum of 320%). Each energy blade can only deal damage to the same target once for each hit.
This is Uranus’ primary damaging ability. Ionic Edge deals decent damage and is on a relatively short cooldown which means you are free to spam this skill in the later stages of the game. Make sure to be mindful of the stacks so that you can maximize your damage output.
Second Skill – Transcendent Ward

Uranus charges towards the targeted location, dealing 80–200 (+20% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies along the way, dealing 160–400 (+80% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies in this location and slowing them down by 25%.
Meanwhile, Uranus generates an energy shield that absorbs up to 300–750 (+200% Total Magic Power) damage for 4 seconds.
The shield explodes when broken or at the end of its duration, dealing 300–750 (+150% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies nearby.
Transcendent Ward is an ability that has a lot of uses. It is Uranus’ main mobility spell and what you will be using to dive the enemy’s backline. It deals damage, buffs your resistances, and lets you dash to a target location.
Ultimate – Consecration

Uranus unleashes energy stored within his body to remove slow effects on himself and restore 200–400 HP immediately, while increasing Movement Speed by 60% for 8 seconds. (The speed gained decays over time.)
Uranus directly acquires 5-15 stacks of Radiance, increasing 20%-30% of his shield received and HP Regen for 8 seconds.
Uranus’ ultimate is what truly makes him an unkillable tank. Upon activation, it removes all debuffs and increases Uranus’ overall durability by means of his HP Regen, a shield, and stacks from Radiance.
Builds

When it comes to builds, you should prioritize items that give you both regeneration and resistances. If the enemy team has more Physical Damage dealers go for Armor items. If they have more Magic damage dealers, go for Magic Defense items. No matter what build path you choose, there are three essential items that you should try to fit into your build. These core items are Guardian Helmet, Oracle, and Athena’s Shield.
- Guardian Helmet
+1550 HP
+20 HP Regen
Unique Passive – Recovery: Regenerates 1.5%-3.5% of the hero’s Max HP per second. (Each kill or assist increases it by 0.25%, including kills and assists prior to purchase.) This effect wears off within 5s after taking damage.
- Oracle
+850 HP
+42 Magic Defense
+10% CD Reduction
Unique Passive – Bless: Raise shield absorption and HP regen effect by 30%.
- Athena’s Shield
+900 HP
+2 HP Regen
+62 Magic Defense
Unique Passive – Shield: Can be triggered when taking Magic Damage. Reduces Magic Damage taken by 25% for 5s (including the Magic Damage that triggers this effect). You will be able to trigger this effect again only after leaving combat for 10s.
All these items increase Uranus’ overall HP regeneration. These items also make him more durable and allow him to last longer during fights.
Useful Tips
- For emblems, go with the Tank set and take Concussive Blast as your talent. This will increase Uranus’ overall damage and his dueling power when playing in a side lane.
- For your battle spell, take either Vengeance or Flicker. Vengeance deals return magic damage whenever you are hit with basic attacks by the enemy. This actually synergizes well with Uranus’ passive, Radiance, which gets stronger whenever he is attacked by the enemy. Flicker, on the other hand, is the general, all purpose battle spell that adds another layer of mobility to Uranus’ kit.
- Uranus is countered by heroes that can turn his high regeneration and high HP against him. Heroes like Karrie, Odette, Vexana, and Sun are strong counters on Uranus. When you see these heroes on the enemy team, you better be cautious on how you approach them.
