Gaming

Overview

For a time, it seemed like Lesley was the most overpowered hero released in Mobile Legends. I mean, we’re not surprised. She can deal ridiculous amounts of damage while staying safely behind her team’s frontline. Add to the fact that she can become invisible and you have a hero that will dominate in most matches she’s played in. She has since been nerfed and balanced but she still remains a powerful pick in the current meta.

Lesley’s biggest strength and advantage over other marksmen is her range. She has longer range than most marksmen and can deal considerably more damage than them. Enemies will often have a hard time getting to Lesley in a team fight without using hard crowd control to pin her down. She may not be the most mobile carry, but her range more than makes up for it. Despite all her strengths, she has a few weaknesses. She’s prone to the same drawbacks as most marksmen. She’s squishy, prone to crowd control, and reliant on items to be effective. Overall, Lesley is a very good pick. She’s also easy to use so you can just readily pick her up and start racking up wins with her.

Abilities

Lesley’s kit is geared towards keeping her as far as possible from potential threats. We all know that she has the longest range out of any marksman but her abilities further enhance this advantage.

Passive – Lethal Shot

Lesley restores 5 energy each time she hits an enemy with her Basic Attack. If she doesn’t take damage for 5s, her next Basic Attack gains extra attack range and 50% Crit Chance while dealing 1.2 times more damage. The enhanced Basic Attack also restores twice the amount of energy.

Lethal Shot deals 20% extra damage to minions. The cooldown of Lethal Shot is reset each time Lesley casts a skill. Each point of fixed Physical Penetration Lesley acquires will be converted into 1% Crit Chance (percentage Physical Penetration isn’t affected).

Lesley’s passive allows her to hit extremely hard with her Basic Attack. With enough items, this can easily shave off half or even one shot squishy heroes. Because of Lethal Shot, Lesley works best with a crit oriented build.

First Skill – Master of Camouflage

Lesley enters the Camouflage state and gains double energy restoration, 40% extra Movement Speed, and 75-200 Physical Attack for up to 3s. Dealing or taking damage will end this state. Enemies can detect Lesley’s camouflage through distortions of their surroundings.

Master of Camouflage truly lives up to its name. It allows Lesley to go into stealth mode and gain a bit of mobility. You’ll primarily be using this to get the bonus Physical Attack but it also has a bunch of other uses like repositioning yourself in teamfights or even escaping from ganks.

Second Skill – Tactical Grenade

Lesley throws a tactical grenade forward which explodes in a fan-shaped area in front of her, dealing 150-300 (+50% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies and knocking them back. Meanwhile Lesley jumps back slightly.

Using this skill will instantly cancel Ultimate Snipe and release a fatal bullet. (Extra attacks will only be launched if fatal bullets have not finished firing.)

This ability gives Lesley a bit of crowd control. It’s great for keeping enemies away when they try to get too close to you. Be sure to pick the right time to use this as it can lead to a lot of outplay opportunities.

Ultimate – Ultimate Snipe

Lesley locks onto a designated enemy hero and fires 4 Lethal Bullets in succession, each Bullet dealing Physical Damage equal to 200-300 (+80% Extra Physical Attack) plus 5% of the enemy’s lost HP and restoring 10 energy on hit. The Bullets can be blocked by other enemy heroes.

Lesley can end this skill early, and part of the skill cooldown will be refunded.

Ultimate Snipe is the best ability to execute fleeing low health targets. However, you have to pick your spot carefully as this is a channeling ability. While using it, you may be vulnerable to enemies who can attack you while casting Ultimate Snipe.

Builds

When it comes to builds, you should focus on enhancing Lesley’s Basic Attack Damage and her critical strike chance. There’s not much variety when it comes to her builds so you’ll mostly be running the same items most of the time. There are 4 core items that you need on Lesley. These are Windtalker, Berserker’s Fury, Scarlet Phantom, and Endless Battle.

  • Windtalker

+40% Attack Speed

+10% Crit Chance

+20 Movement SPD

Unique Passive – Typhoon: Every 5-3s, the next Basic Attack hits up to 3 enemy units and deals 150-362 Magic damage. The CD of this effect drops to the minimum when Crit Chance rises to 50%, while damage rises to the maximum when Attack SPD rises to 3.00. This attack can cause Crit Damage. To minions, deals 200% increased Damage.

Unique Passive – Activate: Each time Typhoon is cast, one’s movement speed will be increased 5% for a short time.

  • Berserker’s Fury

+65 Physical ATK

+25% Crit Chance

Unique Passive: +40% Critical Damage

Unique Passive – Doom: Crit hit will increase the hero’s Physical Attack by 5% for 2s.

  • Scarlett Phantom

+30 Physical ATK

+20% Attack Speed

+25% Crit Chance

Unique Passive – Frenzy: Crit hits increase the hero’s ATK Speed by 30% and Crit Chance by 5%. Last 2s.

  • Endless Battle

+65 Physical ATK
+5 Mana Regen
+250 HP
+10% CD Reduction
+5% Movement SPD
+10% Physical Lifesteal

Unique Passive – Divine Justice: In 3s after using the skill, the caster’s next Basic Attack will deal additional True Damage as much as 60% of Physical Attack with a cooldown of 1.5s.

Unique Passive – Chase Fate: When Divine Justice’s effect is triggered, it will increase the hero’s movement speed 10%.

All these items are absolutely essential on Lesley and will be the primary reason why she’ll be able to carry the game. If you take a closer look at the items, you’ll see that most of them increase her critical strike chance and enhance her basic attack damage.

Useful Tips

  1. For emblems, take the Assassin set and Bounty Hunter as your talent. This will allow you to get your items faster which would translate to more damage.
  2. For your battle spell, always take Flicker or Purify. If you feel like you’re going to be facing a lot of crowd control, take Purify. Otherwise, always go with Flicker.
  3. Lesley is countered by heroes that can deal a lot of damage and can stick to her. Examples of Lesley’s hardest counters are Karrie, Gusion, Moskov, and Lancelot.
