How To Play Karrie In Mobile Legends

Karrie is one of the most mobile marksmen you can play in Mobile Legends. She has excellent DPS, good burst, and tons of mobility. Here’s everything you need to know to get you started playing the Lost Star.

Gaming

Overview

Marksmen are the premier physical damage heroes in Mobile Legends. Their primary responsibility in games is to deal as much damage as possible while also pushing lanes. Karrie is a great example of a hero from the marksman class that does all of these things so well while adding a little extra. This extra comes in the form of her mobility. Karrie has very good DPS while boasting a dash in her second skill. This allows her to quickly reposition during fights making her hard to pick off and letting her do more damage. She can also shred tanks with ease which is great since tanks dominate the meta.

Karrie is a hero that definitely has more pros than cons. With that said, she still has quite a few weaknesses. Like most marksment, she is very item reliant. She’s also rather mana hungry early on. She’s also squishy and prone to being vulnerable when hit with crowd control. Overall, Karrie is still a solid marksman. If you want a hard hitting speedy marksman, you can’t go wrong with picking this hero.

Abilities

Karrie’s abilities revolve mostly around her basic attacks. One way or another, these abilities enhance her basic attacks which allows her to deal more damage.

Passive – Lightwheel Mark

Karrie adds a Lightwheel Mark to enemies with each basic attack or skill. When a target acquires 5 Lightwheel Marks, it becomes an actual Lightwheel, piercing the target and dealing 8% – 12% Max HP True Damage. The Lightwheel Mark lasts for 5 seconds, and will reset when Karrie switches her target.

Karrie’s passive is what allows her to easily shred tanks. When her passive is procced, it will deal a percentage of the target’s max health as True Damage which as we all know is pure, unadulterated damage that ignores all resistances. Apart from shredding tanks, Lightwheel Mark also gives Karrie a way to finish off her targets.

First Skill – Spinning Lightwheel

Karrie releases flywheels at a designated direction dealing 200 / 235 / 270 / 305 / 340 / 375 (+90% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage on the path. When flywheels go to the end, they deal 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 / 180 / 200 (+20% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to nearby enemies and slowing them by 80% continuously, lasting for 1 second.

Spinning Lightwheel works best when used in a team fight. It deals continuous damage to enemies around its area of effect. Since Karrie is mostly used as a Jungler, this skill allows her to clear jungle camps faster thanks to its persistent damage.

Second Skill – Phantom Step

Karrie dashes towards a designated direction while releasing a Lightwheel to the most nearby enemy, dealing 150 / 175 / 200 / 225 / 250 / 275 (+70% Physical Attack) Physical Damage and adding a Lightwheel Mark.

Dual Wield Mode: Karrie will release 2 Lightwheels/Marks.

Karrie’s main form of mobility. This allows her to dash around the battlefield and reposition during teamfights. Phantom Step can also go through thin walls so, you can use this to make a quick escape or to catch opponents off guard.

Ultimate – Speedy Lightwheel

Karrie enters Dual Wield Mode which within the next 6 / 8 / 10 seconds, Karrie’s movement speed will be increased by 20% and her basic attack releases 2 Lightwheels/Marks but each Basic Attack only deals 60% / 67.5% / 75% Physical Damage

Karrie’s ultimate is what makes her a very strong carry. Using Speedy Lightwheel will increase her DPS by twofold because with each basic attack, you’ll be shooting 2 Lightwheels. This means that you can proc her passive faster and you’ll shred your enemy’s health easier.

Builds

Karris is a hero that relies mostly on her Basic Attack and proccing the effects of her passive ability. So, the best items for her are the ones that enhance her basic attacks and increase her attack speed. There’s not much variety when it comes to her builds since you’ll mostly be running the same items. However, there are three we would consider essential on Karrie. These core items are Endless Battle, Thunder Belt, and Golden Staff

  • Endless Battle

+65 Physical ATK
+5 Mana Regen
+250 HP
+10% CD Reduction
+5% Movement SPD
+10% Physical Lifesteal

Unique Passive – Divine Justice: In 3s after using the skill, the caster’s next Basic Attack will deal additional True Damage as much as 60% of Physical Attack with a cooldown of 1.5s.

Unique Passive – Chase Fate: When Divine Justice’s effect is triggered, it will increase the hero’s movement speed 10%.

  • Thunder Belt

+800 HP

+40 Physical Defense

+30 Mana Regen

+10% CD Reduction

Unique Passive – Thunderbolt: In 3s after using the skill, the caster’s next Basic Attack will deal True Damage as much as 50 plus 5% of the caster’s Extra Max HP to the enemy target and surrounding units and slow them by 40-80% (increases with the caster’s Extra Max HP) for 1s. This effect has a 1.5s cooldown.

  • Golden Staff

+65 Physical ATK

+15% Attack Speed

Unique Passive – Swift: Unable to increase critical chance. Every 1% of critical chance gained will increase attack speed by 1%.

Unique Passive – Endless Strike: After every 2 non-critical Basic Attacks. Attack Speed of the next Basic Attack is increased by 100% and its effect is triggered an extra 2 time(s).

These items all increase the damage of Karrie’s Basic Attacks while also enhancing the other aspects of her playstyle. They also increase her survivability and her attack speed.

Useful Tips

  1. For emblems, always take the Assassin set and take either Bounty Hunter or Killing Spree as your talent. Bounty Hunter will allow you to get your items faster while Killing Spree will give you bonuses whenever you score a kill.
  2. For your battle spell, take Retribution when jungling or Flicker when in a lane. Retribution will allow you to clear jungle camps faster while securing objectives like Lord or Turtle. Flicker adds another layer of utility to your already impressive kit with mobility.
  3. Karrie is countered by heroes that can pin her down and limit her mobility. Heroes like Franco, Chou, Kaja, Saber, and Jawhead can severely counter Karrie’s playstyle and effectiveness.
