How To Invite Members To Join Your Workspace On ClickUp

Do you need more help in your ClickUp workspace? If that’s a yes, you can invite more people to join it. Whether you’re using the free forever plan or one of the premium ones, you can add more people to join your workspace. Follow our guide below and we’ll show you how to do it.


ClickUp is an online collaboration tool that allows you and your team to manage, track, and plan any project or work online. Users can choose the use the free version of the app, or avail of one of its premium plans for more features and tools.

As your project grows, you might need more people to help you work. When that happens, you can easily invite them to join your ClickUp workspace.

How to add more members to your ClickUp workspace

If you need more hands while working on a project you have on ClickUp, you can invite more people to your workspace. Once someone joins your workspace as a member, they’ll be able to work on the tasks, spaces, and other stuff within your workspace (depending on the permission level you set for them).

You can invite people to join your workspace from the ClickUp desktop or web app. Check our tutorials below and we’ll show you how to do it from your desktop.

Note: We’re using the ClickUp Free Forever Plan in our tutorial below.

On your computer:

  1. Launch the ClickUp desktop app or visit their web client and sign in to your account.
  2. Click the Invite option at the bottom of the sidebar.

  3. Add the person’s email address and choose whether to make them a member or an admin.

  4. Hit the Send Invite button to confirm your decision.

That’s how you invite more people to join your free workspace on ClickUp. once the person accepts your invitation, they can immediately view the contents of your workspace and start working.

For those using a premium workspace plan, you’ll need to navigate to the People section (you can find it by tapping your profile icon at the bottom of the sidebar) on the app to add more people to your workspace. However, please note that you’ll receive additional charges as you add more people to join and work with you on a premium workspace.

If you ever change your mind, you can navigate to the People section on your workspace to manage its members. As the owner, you have full control over removing or adding people to the workspace.
