How To Install Google Home On Windows 10

If you want to figure out how to install Google Home on your PC, you’ve come to the right place. It is a little tricky, but you will get the hang of it. So, let’s get right to it.

Step 1
Firstly, you need to have Python. Open up Command Prompt and put in “python”. If you see it pop up then you are good to go. If you don’t, you need to install it. For it to work, you will need version 3 or higher.

Go to the Google Cloud Platform where you can add new projects for your Google Home device. Here, click on “Create a Project”. Name it however you like and press “Create”.

When you are done, go to Google APIs. Here, click on enable. Since in this case, we named the project “Google Assistant API”, the button will appear right next to the name. If you see the button “Disable” like in the screenshot below, it means you have enabled the site.

When you are done, you will get to “Credentials”. Go to the dropdown menu and select “Other UI”. After that, enable “User Data” which is right under the drop-down menu.

Go to “What Credentials do I need” and name it however you like. After that, go to “Product Name” and name it “MyPC”. If you type any other name aside from “MyPC”, you might get an error. So, make sure to name it like that, it needs to be one word. When you are ready, press “Done”.

Go to the far-right corner and select the download button. Wait for it to download.

Now, you will need to go to Activity Controls. Enable everything here. This will give you the functionality you need.

It is time to pop up the Command Prompt. Here, you will need to type in the exact commands as in the screenshot below. Type the first command. When you enable it, it will automatically start installing in the system. When you are done, put in the second command specified in the screenshot.
Step 9
Now, the file that you’ve just downloaded, try to drag and drop it in the Command Prompt. If it works, great! If it doesn’t, open up a different Command Prompt and drag and drop it there. After that, highlight the directory and right-click it. Copy and paste it in the previous Command Prompt.
Step 10
When you are done with all of that, add space and type in the rest of the code in the screenshot below. If everything works, you will get a website. Open that website in your browser. Copy and paste the authorization code in the Command Prompt. If you see “Credentials Saved” you did everything correctly.
Step 11
Now, open up the Command Prompt – a new one. Insert the following code there and that’s it! Now you are ready to go. To use it, you will have to turn on the Command Prompt and issue the command to use the Google Home. See the screenshot below. For Google Home to hear you, you need to press “Enter” before you issue a command.
