How to hide some of your chats on Viber

If you want to make some of your chats on Viber more private, you can hide them from your chats list. Hidden chats are only accessible using the search bar and compose option, and you can use a PIN to protect them.

You can hide your chats from the Viber mobile app. In our tutorial below, we’ll show you every step to do so.

On your phone:

1. Launch Viber on your device and sign in to your account.
2. Go to the Chats tab and open one of your conversations.
3. Tap More options (three dots icon) on the conversation header and select “Chat info” from the menu.
   
   
4. Select the “Hide this chat” option on the sidebar that appears on your screen.
   
   
5. Tap the “Set PIN” option on the pop-up window and enter your 4-digit PIN.
   
   
6. Re-enter your PIN to confirm your decision.

After setting your first PIN for hiding a chat for the first time, you won’t need to create another when you want to hide more conversations. If you ever forget your PIN, you can reset it through your Privacy Settings on the app.
