How To Hide Who You’re Following On Twitch
Last Updated: December 29, 2019
Twitch is famous for its huge community. It is the most popular streaming platform on the globe. Everyone has heard of it and millions use it. That’s why becoming a streamer is now a popular profession.
Let’s say you are a popular streamer with plenty of people following you. You also follow other channels to support skilled streamers. But, some of the people who are following you decide to visit the channels you are following and talk badly about the people you follow.
There are many reasons why anyone would want to hide the channels they are following from the rest of the world. That way no one will get insulted or trolled on other channels just for the sake of it. Many people want a feature that lets them keep the channels they follow on private.
However, there is one problem. There is no such feature on Twitch. You can’t hide the channels you follow. The channels will still appear on your Twitch screen. But, there is something else you can do. If you really want to keep those channels safe from people who want to invade their chat, you can always unfollow them.
Now, this may sound rude if you really like that streamer. But, it is a good way of keeping your rude fans away. Since you can’t hide who you are following on Twitch, we have decided to show you what you can do. All you have to do is follow these simple steps and you will do it in no-time. Let’s begin.
The first and most important thing you should do is log in to your Twitch account. Select the channel you are following. The channels you follow are on the left side of your Twitch screen. Click on one of them.
On the top right corner above the stream, you will see a green heart icon. When the heart is green, it means that you have followed this channel. What you want to do now is go over to the heart and click on the icon.
The little heart will now turn red. That means you have successfully unfollowed that channel. If you worry about unfollowing that person, you can always write down their Twitch name. So, when you feel like it, you can visit their channel without taking all the angry fans with you.
Now, this is a very convenient way to solve the problem. It may seem a bit insulting for the streamer. But, don’t worry about it. If the streamer you follow has a huge community following them, it won’t make too much of a difference if one person unfollowed their channel.
So, that’s about it. This is the only way you can solve this problem on your Twitch channel. Even though you can’t hide your following, you can always protect that channel from people that might send insults in their chat. This is a pretty neat way of handling the situation. Even if it sounds a bit too harsh. Let us know if you found this guide helpful in the comments below.
