How to remove shows from your Netflix viewing history

You can remove titles from your viewing history from your Account page. In our step-by-step tutorial below, we’ll show you how to do it from a desktop.

On your desktop:

1. Visit the Netflix account page with your preferred browser and sign in to your account.
2. Select the profile that you want to manage in the Profile & Parental Controls section.
   
   
3. Open your viewing activity.
   
   
4. Browse your viewing history and click the cancel icon on the show or episode that you want to hide.
   
   

On the other hand, you can scroll down and select the “Hide all” option to remove every item on your viewing history. Selecting this option also removes all the shows from your Continue Watching section on the app.

Within a day, the show or title will no longer appear on the app as the one you watched, and the app won’t use it for title recommendations in the future. Repeat these steps until you hide every episode or show that you don’t want to appear on your viewing history.

Please note that you can also visit your Netflix account page from a phone’s browser. In this way, there’s no need to log in from your computer if you’re primarily using your phone most of the time.
