There are a ton of bots you can use on Discord. Each has something unique to offer. Every bot you use in Discord can have some amazing and very useful features. But, if you are using too many bots, you might want to control how many of them appear on your app.
The more Bots you use, the more confusing it will be to keep track of all of them. Of course, you have a reason for downloading this many bots. So, you don’t want to disable them. You are still using them.
Instead, there is something else you will want to do. And that is making your bots invisible. In other words, hide them.
This is the best way to clear up your Discord account and see what you want to see. If you want to figure out how to hide Discord bots, you’ve come to the right place. Hiding them doesn’t affect their performance. Instead, it just makes them invisible.
To help you do it, we’ve made an easy guide you can follow. It may seem a little challenging at first, but don’t worry! You will quickly get the hang of it. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.
Pick the bot you want to hide. Go to your Discord profile and make sure to remember the name of the bot you want to work with. After that, go to your local disk where you’ve installed the bot. In this example, the bot is installed in “Local Disk C:”. Locate the exact folder where you’ve downloaded the bot and open the source code of that bot. This is the screen you want to see.
Here you can add any command. You can alter the bot as you see fit. In this case, we want to hide the bot, so we will set it to invisible. Here is how you can do that. See the red rectangle in the screenshot below. This is where you alter the status of the bot.
To do it, you will have to type in “bot.user.setStatus(‘Invisible’)”. You can later replace the word “invisible” with online, dnd, or idle. See the example below.
Right-click in this window somewhere where there is an empty space and select “open in Browser”. This is the window you are looking for. Wait for the bot to run. Type in “node app.js” like in the example below.
Or you will see this screen that says the bot is ready. If the bot is ready, it will immediately be hidden from your discord menu.
That’s it! Now you know how to set your bot’s status.
Hiding your bot can be a bit overwhelming. After all, you have to type in a few codes to get the desired effect. But, don’t let that discourage you. This trick looks complex, but it isn’t. All you have to do is follow these simple steps and you will hide your Discord bot in no-time. This is such a practical feature you will wonder how you never used it before.
