How To Hide A Conversation On Microsoft Teams

How to hide a chat on Teams

You can hide conversations on your account whether you’re using the Teams app on your phone or desktop. In our quick tutorials below, we’ll show you how to do it from both devices.

On your phone:

1. Open the Teams app on your phone and sign in to your account.
2. Tap the Chat tab at the bottom of the app.
   
   
3. Tap and hold into the conversation that you want to hide.
4. Select the “Hide chat” option on the menu that appears at the bottom of your screen.
   
   

You can use the search bar to find your hidden chats whenever you need them. After searching for the conversation, you can unhide them by holding to the chat and selecting the unhide option from the menu.

On your computer:

1. Launch the Teams desktop app or visit their web client and sign in to your account.
2. Click “Chat” on the sidebar on the left side of your screen.
