And, who knows, maybe you’ll keep on using Google Docs for more than just creating articles and essays but also for your brochure and collage projects!
1. Go to Google Docs then log into your account.
To proceed with grouping images in Google Docs, you must first open your browser and then navigate to Google Docs. After that, make sure that your account is logged in to see all the existing documents you have.
2. Open a document to edit.
From all the existing documents, open the one to be edited—just a reminder to carefully browse each file to make sure that you have the correct one.
3. Select the “Insert” option from the menu bar.
Click the “Insert” tab on the menu bar in the document, and a drop-down menu will appear on your screen.

4. Choose “Drawing” then click “New.”
The drop-down menu will consist of various things that you can opt to add to your document. However, in this case, you must select “Drawing” and then click “New.” Doing this step will allow a drawing pop-up window to show up on your screen.

5. Insert the images you want to group.
In the pop-up window, insert the images you want to group. To do this, simply click the image icon on the pop-up window’s toolbar, then select a folder you wish to upload an image from. Afterward, in your chosen folder, click on the photos that you want to include.

6. Select the images by pressing “Ctrl + A” on your keyboard.
After adding all the images you want to group, select them by pressing the “Ctrl + A” keys on your keyboard. To ensure that you’ve successfully selected the photos, you should see a blue outline around them.

7. Click the “Actions” tab on the menu bar.
If you have already selected all images, hover to the menu bar, then select the “Actions” tab. Clicking this will let Google Docs show a drop-down list.

8. Select “Group” from the list.
Now, select the “Group” option from the list. Note that the drop-down list is quite long, so you need to scroll down until you see this option. This will immediately be applied to your images, which means that all the photos you’ve selected will now be grouped after this step.

If you noticed some errors before saving it, you could always undo them by hovering again to the “Actions” tab and then clicking “Ungroup.”
9. Click the “Save and Close” button.
After you’ve grouped the images and you are sure that there are zero errors, all left for you to do is click the “Save and close” button to apply the changes made.

Additional Notes
Adjusting the images to group them better may be a bit hard, but as you keep on practicing, you’ll surely get the hang of it. In addition to grouping them, you can also add texts, shapes, and icons to your collage to make it look better.
It doesn’t matter how many images you put. Even if it’s more than 10 photos, Google Docs has got you covered!
