Once you finish a project in Asana, you have the option to archive or delete it from your workspace. If you need to share tasks and data from the project, you can export it to a CSV or JSON file.
After exporting your project, you can open the file with Excel or another spreadsheet app to access your data. You can then create tables and graphs to explain your data much easier to your other team members.

Exporting a project in Asana
Asana lets its users export individual projects within their workspace into CSV files. In this way, you can customize the data from your work to fit what your team needs.
You can export your projects from the Asana desktop or web app. Since both versions are similar, here’s our guide about exporting Asana projects from your computer:
- Open the Asana desktop or web app and sign in to your account.
- Go to one of your projects that you want to export.
- Click the drop-down arrow beside the project’s name.
- Hover to “Export/Print” and export to JSON or CSV.
- When exporting to CSV, choose the location where you want to store the file and click Save.
After exporting your data to CSV, you can open the file with another app like Excel to create graphs and tables that you can share with other members of your team. You can also use it to record and store your project outside of Asana.
Unfortunately, you can’t export data from the Asana mobile app. You’ll need to sign in to the desktop or web app to export your projects.
