How To Enable Fast Charging On Galaxy S10

Do you have to leave for a meeting in 20 minutes? Is your phone battery all gone? Then, you might want to enable fast charging. Everyone wants their phone to charge up quickly. That’s why the fast charging option on Galaxy S10 is so popular.

On many occasions, fast charging may be your only solution. Luckily for us, the option is very easy to access. You can enable it and disable it as you see fit. You can use it when you are on the run. You will quickly get your phone ready for the day ahead.

If you want to figure out how to use this option, you’ve come to the right place. We have prepared an easy step-by-step guide to show you how. Let’s get right to it.

Step 1

Pull down the notification tab on your Samsung home screen. Click on the cog icon in the top-right corner. This will bring up the settings menu.

Step 2

Here, look for “Device care”. Open it. If you can’t find it, see the screenshot below.

Step 3

In the new window go to the first button on the bottom left corner. Press “Battery”.

Step 4

In the “Battery” menu, click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen. This button will open the “Settings” tab. Click on it.

Step 5

Scroll to the end of the “Settings” menu. The last two options on the screen are what you are looking for. Click on “Fast cable charging” or “Fast wireless charging” depending on how you want to charge your phone. If you are using a cable, select the first option. If you are looking to charge your phone without a cable, we suggest you pick the second one.

This option lets you charge your battery a lot quicker than it normally would. But, if you want your battery to live longer, disable this feature. If you use this feature too often, the phone won’t be able to withstand it.

So, only use it when you are in a hurry. For example, you have to go out, but you don’t have time to charge it up. Or, you have to call someone and your phone really needs that energy as soon as possible. Otherwise, you shouldn’t use it.

Fast charging too often will reduce the life span of your in-built battery. It may sound like a good feature to have enabled all the time, but, if you use it too much, it’s not good for the phone.

Enabling the fast charging option on your Galaxy S10 is pretty easy. All you have to do is toggle that option from the Settings menu on your phone. You will quickly learn how to do it. Just, make sure not to rely on it too much.

Fast charging is not that good for the in-built phone battery. So, you should use it only when you must. Now that you know how to enable and disable this feature, go ahead and give it a try.
