To keep your account safe, you can set up the 2-step verification feature on your account. After creating your six-digit PIN, you’ll need it enter to activate your account on a new device or when you want to make important changes to your profile.

How to set up a PIN on your Viber account
If you want to add more security to your Viber account, you can enable the 2-step verification option on the app. In this way, other people won’t be able to make changes to your account or activate it on a new device without the code.
You can enable the 2-step verification feature from the Viber mobile app. Check our step-by-step tutorial below to learn how.
On your phone:
- Open Viber from your home screen or app drawer and sign in to your account.
- Tap “More” on the bottom right and select “Settings” from the menu.
- Open your Privacy settings.
- Select “2-Step Verification” at the top of your Privacy options.
- Tap the Create PIN Code button.
- Enter the six-digit PIN code you want to use and tap Next.
- Re-enter your six-digit PIN and tap Next to confirm your decision.
That’s how you set up a PIN for your Viber account. You’ll need to enter this PIN every time you make changes to your account, including updating your email and number on the app.
Aside from protecting your account from changes, you’ll also need the PIN to reactivate your account in situations when you’ll need to reinstall the app. You’ll need to enter the code before you can deactivate your account on the app.
If you ever change your mind, you can always disable the 2-step verification code feature whenever you want. You can even choose a new PIN to protect your account.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to set up your 2-step verification feature from the Viber desktop app. You can only do so from the mobile app.
