Although the song recommendations can help you discover new music that you may like, the suggestions from the app might not suit your tastes. If you want to improve or reset future recommendations on YouTube Music, you can manage your watch history.

How to erase your watch history on YouTube Music
If you want to remove records of previously watched videos on YouTube Music, you can delete your watch history on the app. In this way, you can start anew on the app without deleting your account or creating a new one.
You can delete your watch history on YouTube Music whether you’re using the web or mobile app. In our tutorials below, we’ll show you how to do it from both.
On your phone:
- Open YouTube Music from your home screen or app drawer and sign in to your account.
- Tap “Settings” from the menu.
- Head to your Privacy and Location options.
- Select the “Manage watch history” option.
- Tap the Delete option at the top of your watch history and select the option you prefer on the menu. You can choose to delete all the videos you watched for the day, choose a custom date period, or remove everything.
Alternatively, you can opt to delete videos from your watch history one by one. All you have to do is tap or click the “X” icon on the right of the item you want to remove.
On your computer:
- Visit the YouTube Music web app and sign in to your account.
- Click your profile icon on the top right side of the page and select “Settings” from the menu.
- Head to the Privacy tab and select the “Manage watch history” option.
- Click the Delete option above your watch history and select whether to delete by date, select a custom range, or choose to remove everything on the list.
You can also click the “X” icon beside the items on your watch history to remove them one by one. Please note that YouTube and YouTube Music share the same watch history, so be careful when deleting multiple videos from the list.
