How To Delete Passwords On LastPass

How to remove passwords from LastPass

If you want to remove a sign-in credential from LastPass, you can delete it from your vault. As the owner of your account, you have full control over the passwords you store on LastPass.

You can delete passwords on LastPass from your phone or computer. Here are our tutorials for deleting LastPass passwords from both devices.

On your computer:

1. Visit the LastPass website on your preferred browser and sign in to your account. Alternatively, click the LastPass browser extension and select the Vault button on the pop-up window.
2. Select “Passwords” on the sidebar.
   
   
3. Hover over one of the items on your screen and click the trash icon.
   
   
4. Click Yes on the pop-up window to delete the password from your account.

After deleting a password on LastPass, the app won’t be able to fill up the form for the website you removed automatically. You can always add a password back manually or after signing in to a website.

On your phone:

1. Launch the LastPass mobile app and sign in to your account with your master password.
2. Tap the hamburger icon on the top left and select “Passwords” from the menu.
   
   
3. Tap the item that you want to delete.
   
   
4. Select the Delete option on the menu.
   
   
5. Tap Yes on the pop-up window to confirm your decision.

Deleted passwords will appear in your account’s Delete Items section. You can restore your passwords within 30 days after deletion before LastPass deletes them permanently.

You can find all your deleted passwords by navigating to Advanced Options > View Deleted Items. Hover over one of the items in the section and click the Restore icon to add them back to the vault.
