How To Create Undisclosed Recipients Contact In Outlook
Last Updated: September 30, 2021
When sending an email to many addresses, there are instances where we don’t want some emails to be seen by other recipients because of confidentiality. In these cases, the best method is to send emails to undisclosed recipients so that only you have access to all addresses.
That’s possible in Outlook, and it can be done in just a few clicks. Yet before we can start with that, the first step we have to accomplish is creating undisclosed-recipients contact in Outlook. If you want to know how it’s done, let me explain in the simplest way possible.
1. Open the Outlook application on your computer.
For you to start with the process of creating undisclosed-recipients for your Outlook account, you should first open the Outlook application on your device and log in to your account.
2. Click the “Home” tab then select the address book icon.
On the Home page of Outlook, there are several tabs available in the menu bar. You must click on the address book icon beside the search bar for a new window called “Address Book: Contacts” to open.

3. Select “File” then “New Entry.”
In the Address book window, click the File tab on the menu bar then you’ll be provided with two options: to add a new entry and to create a new message. Select “New Entry” from these options, and a small dialog box will appear on your screen.

4. Select the “New Contact” options then click “OK.”
In the “New Entry” dialog box, select the “New Contact” option then click “OK.” This will bring you to a new window where you can now input or add an undisclosed contact.

5. In the “Full Name” text box, type “Undisclosed Recipient.”
In the new window, you’ll see various text boxes where you can input all the information about the contact that you are about to add, but the good thing is that you only need to fill out two of them. The first one is the “Full Name” text box where you should enter “Undisclosed Recipient.”

6. Enter your Email address in the “Email” text box.
Aside from the “Full Name” text box, another thing that needs to be filled out is the “Email” text box which is under the internet section. Before saving it, the last thing you should do is input your Email address in the “Email” text box.

7. Click the “Save & Close” button to apply the changes.
Make sure to follow the steps mentioned above. If you’re confident that every detail and information entered is correct, what’s left for you to do is click the “Save & Close” button located on the top-left corner of your screen to save all the changes you’ve made to your contact list.

Key Takeaways
This guide mainly focuses on creating undisclosed recipients in Outlook; it doesn’t tackle the actual sending of emails to different users yet. However, you don’t have to worry much about that because that process is basically the same as how you usually email someone.
I hope this guide can be beneficial for you!
