How To Clear Firestick Viewing History

Do you want to have a smart TV, but you don’t want to pay a bunch of money to get it? No problem, with simply buying a Firestick device, you will transform your regular TV into a Smart TV. The process is quite simple, and it will only take a few minutes of your time. Beware that this only works if your TV has an HDMI input.

You can start using the Firestick once you finish the installation process. With it, you can stream your favorite movies, TV shows, listen to music, and even play games! However, like happens with all video streaming services such as YouTube, every time that you watch a show or a movie, the title appears on the recently watched section. While sometimes this is useful, because if you haven’t finished watching a certain show, you can quickly resume it, on other occasions, it could be really annoying.

This is even more annoying if you share your TV with other people. You will see the cooking show that your brother sees, the fishing movie that your father just watched, and the cartoons of your little sister. Nobody likes this, especially if they don’t like those shows. Thankfully, there is a solution; let’s find it out.

Step 1

Go to the Amazon web page and log in to your account. Click on your accounts and lists section, which is at the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2

Scroll down on the drop-down menu, and choose your watch list. It is the fifth option from the bottom to the top.

Step 3

Head to the top right corner once you are on the page. Click on the Settings option.

Step 4

After your last selection, you will be directed into another page, where you have to click on the watch history option. it is the option at the far right.

Step 5

Once you are there, you have to click on the button that says View Watch History. It is the only button there; you can’t miss it.

Step 6

Wait until the page loads. All the movies, and shows that you have watched should be there. Click on the remove icon, and that is all. Sadly, there is no way to delete all history at once. Therefore, you must individually remove them. Yes, I know it is a waste of time. But there is a hard part in every process, and this is it.

If you don’t what to remove a certain show form the recently watched section, but you don’t what to see any recommended shows, you just have to mark the “don’t make recommendations” option.

Step 7

Now, for the changes to take place, you must restart your Firestick device. If you don’t do this, you might still see the shows on the recently watched section.

As you can see, this is a straightforward process. The downside is that you have to repeat step 6 as much time as shows or moves you wish to delete from your viewing history.
