How To Add Crunchyroll To Wii

If you love anime and mange, you must have heard about Crunchyroll. With this service, you will be able to either see your favorite shows, read all the chapters of your preferred manga, or both. There is plenty of content to choose from on Crunchyroll. They have over 900 anime episodes. However, not all the content is available for anyone. Your access will be restricted by region and by the language you choose. 

But don’t worry, the most famous shows are available to almost any user. You can watch all the content on Crunchyroll free. However, you have to find a way to cope with the commercial breaks and with all the limitations of a free account. You can say goodbye to all this by paying for a monthly subscription.

Step 1

Turn on your Wii U, and head down and click on the icon that looks like a plastic bag (Nintendo eShop). It is the third icon from left to right.

Step 2

It might take a couple of seconds to load. Go to the magnifying glass icon and click on it. It is at the bottom left corner; you can alternatively click B on your Wii U remote.

To speed up the search, you can set the app’s price to zero. Just scroll all the way down and modify the price ranges.

Step 3

Now, look for the Crunchyroll app. Once you find it, hover over it and click the download button. It should be on the top right corner of the app rectangle.

Make sure that you have enough space available. Nintendo will advise that you may need an external storage device. Hit the next button if you have enough space. Then, hit download. 

A message saying that the download will start automatically will appear once the Wii U starts downloading the Crunchyroll app. You will be able to use it once the download process finishes.

Step 5

The following steps are optional and are meant to see the progress of the download and installation process. Now, head back to the home menu, and click manage downloads option, which is the last icon on the right.

Step 6

Head down until the end of the app section, and you will see that the Crunchyroll app is being downloaded in the background. Click it.
