How to add a new quick reply option on WhatsApp Business

If you want to have a few message templates that you can use to reply to your customers efficiently, you can add more quick replies to your account. By adding “/” and the shortcut, you can immediately type the message that you want to say.

You can add or edit quick replies from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone. In our tutorial below, we’ll show you how to do it from an Android device.

On your phone:

1. Launch WhatsApp Business and sign in to your account.
2. Tap More options (three dots icon) on the top right side of your screen and select “Business tools” from the menu.
   
   
3. Select the “Quick replies” option under the Messaging section.
   
   
4. Tap the plus icon on the bottom right corner of the page to create a new quick reply.
5. Choose the shortcut you prefer to use and enter your reply message.
   
   
6. Tap Save on the top right corner to confirm your decision.

That’s how you create a new quick reply on WhatsApp Business. You can store up to 50 messages and use them as quick replies on the app.

As for those using their business accounts on the WhatsApp web and desktop apps, you can’t create new quick replies from there. However, you can still retrieve and use these preset messages whenever you want, except for the ones with media files.

To use a quick reply, type “/” + one of the shortcuts, edit the message, and press Send. Alternatively, you can select Attach > Quick Replies to choose the message that you want to send.
