Gmail How To Make An Email Urgent

We receive emails every single day. Some are more important than others. But because of how many we get, we often overlook the important ones. If you want to send a message you don’t want people to miss, you need to capture their attention.

You have to set that email to urgent and help the recipient find it in seconds. The only way to do that is to set the priority to your email. If there is a meeting you want to organize, or you want to remind someone to send you something, you can set that message as urgent.

Here, we will show you how. That’s exactly why we made this guide for you. All you have to do is follow these simple steps, and you will make an email urgent in Outlook in no-time. So, without further ado, let’s get right to it.

Step 1

Log in to your email on Outlook. Then, go to the left corner of the screen. Click on the “+” sign right above your folders. It says, “New Message.” Type the email of the recipient you want to send it to. Next, give your message a title.

Write whatever you want in the empty area. Once you’ve done that, it is time to set the priority. Now, here comes the tricky part. On the bottom of the message you are currently writing, there are two different menu bars you can use.

The first bar lets you change the font, add bold, italic, or anything else you want to add to your text. Now, under that bar, next to the “Send” and “Discard” button is another menu bar. At the end of this bar are the three dots. Click on them. If you can’t find that button, see the screenshot below.

Step 2

Then, go to “Set Importance.” It is the fourth option from the top and selects “High.” Now, you’ve successfully set your email as urgent. Click on “Send.”

How Does It Look?

The person you sent that email will immediately receive your message. As you can see in the screenshot below, your message will pop up above every other message in the Inbox folder. Above the time, there is an exclamation mark.

This means that the email you just sent is a high-priority email. Any other message the person receives will appear under your email. The exclamation mark sets it apart from the rest of the messages while the position makes it easy to spot.

So, that’s how you make an urgent email. Now, no one will overlook it.

High priority emails in Outlook are easy to spot. If you want to send an urgent message you don’t want people to overlook, you should set your message as a high priority. This will add a red exclamation mark to your message.

This makes it very easy to spot. After all, it pops up above all the other messages in Inbox. Now that you know how to do it go ahead and give it a try. Let us know if you found this guide helpful in the comment section below.
