Step 1

Download the software. Open up the discord app and start your Discord call. If you want to record the call, the Discord app must be running in the background. With this software, you can film both audio and video. You can also toggle the camera on or off. If you want to have the best-quality recording, set your Discord app to full screen. Otherwise, the recording won’t look that nice.

Step 2

Open the OBS free software. The moment you open the program, this is the main menu that will pop up. Here you can play around with the multiple options. To select the one you came here for, select “Start Recording”.  It is on the right side of the menu.

When you are done recording, you will need to find your saved material. To do that, you need to know where the file is. You can find the material if you go to the “Settings” menu. It is the fourth option. Select it to find your file.

Select “Output” and go to “Recording”.

Press on “Recording Path” to find the folder where you saved your final recording. Now, you can change that folder. You can select whichever folder you want by pressing on the “Browse” option. You can save it in a new folder. It is very important that you know where you are recording is. Otherwise, you will have to look through all the folders to find it. This is a quick way to avoid trouble.
