Last Updated: June 29, 2020
Did you hear about the Discord and Spotify update but you have no idea how to use it? Then, you’ve come to the right place. We will show you how you can connect your two accounts for an ideal experience. And all of that can be done with Discord bots.
Music bots on Discord are not something new. They have been around for quite some time now. If you’ve seen people sending their playlists in Discord channels, you’ve probably wanted to know how they did it.
That’s why we have put together this amazing step-by-step guide. It is very easy. All you have to do is follow these simple steps and you will share your playlists with all your friends. But, before we start with the guide, there is something to mention first.
You will need a Spotify and YouTube account. Since we will sync them to connect all the playlists, make sure to have an account on both of these platforms. Another thing we will use is a converter. A converter allows you to get your music in different file formats. You will need this one too. For the purpose of this guide, we have decided to use the PlaylistConverter.
To transfer all the music files to your Discord account, you will need a Music Bot as well. Now, there are plenty of Music Bots you can download. You can check whichever Music Bot suits you best. This guide can be helpful with most of the Music bots you choose to download.
Now that you have everything ready, let’s get right to it.
Log in to your Spotify account and choose the playlist you want to listen to. Select that playlist and press “Follow”. That is all you need to do in Spotify.
Open the PlaylistConverter. Select “Spotify” and log in to your account.
Select the playlist you just followed on your Spotify account. The converter will immediately start loading the playlist.
Now you can see a list of all the songs in your playlist. Go to the right side of the menu and select “Convert to YouTube.” Of course, you can choose any of them. But, for the purpose of this guide, we suggest you go with YouTube.
Log in with the YouTube account to start exporting the songs. It will now start searching for the same songs on YouTube. It will find all the songs you need.
Once the playlist is loaded, press on “Now export to your YouTube account”.
Copy the link of your playlist.
Go to the Discord app. Make sure that your Music bot is up and running. Type “1play” and paste the link in the chat. Press enter to send it. If you want to pause the music, type “1pause”.
That’s it! Now you know how Discord bots can play Spotify.
Playing music on Discord from your Spotify account is very easy. All you have to do is download a Music bot and follow these steps. You will do it in no-time. Easy and convenient.
