Basic Steps For Making A Collage Using Google Photos

If you thought that you could only store images in Google Photos, I’m telling you now that you’re wrong because that’s just what we commonly know about it. Indeed, the primary purpose of keeping pictures in Google Photos is to have enough space or storage in our devices while keeping our media and files stored safely.

Yet apart from that, you can actually be more creative with the app by making photo collages with it. Yes, I didn’t know it was possible too until I’ve heard of it just recently! With this guide, you will learn how to use Google Photos a lot more fun with making different collages.

Using a Mobile Device

If you want to combine several photos into one image using your phone, here’s a quick and easy how-to guide on creating one in Google photos.

1. Go to the Google Photos application on your phone then login your account.

Launch the Google Photos application on your phone and ensure that your account is logged in to access all your photos.

2. Select “Library” at the bottom part of the screen.

You’ll notice four different buttons at the bottom of the screen: photos, search, sharing, and library. The first thing you have to do in the process is to click the “Library” button.

3. Click on “Utilities” and a new window will appear.

The new screen will have four options: Favorites, Utilities, Archive, and Trash. The “Utilities” page will appear after you select the “Utilities” folder.

4. Select “Collage” under the “Create new” section.

Scroll down to the “Create new” section on the “Utilities” page. This section includes three options which are identified as animation, collage, and movie. To proceed, you must select “Collage.”

5. Select the photos that you want to include in your collage then click “Create.”

Select the collage option will direct you to the photos currently uploaded in your Google. Browse through all of them and select the ones you want to include in your collage. Remember that you can only choose a minimum of two and a maximum of nine images per collage.

Creating a Collage On Your Computer

Collages aren’t just for phones anymore. If you’re using a desktop or laptop, you can create a collage on the Google Photos website by simply following the steps below:

1. On the left panel of Google photos, select “Utilities.”

On the left side of the Google Photos screen, a panel with various buttons will appear. When you choose “Utilities” from those options, a new page will appear.

2. In the new “Utilities” page that appears, select the “Collage” option.

A “Utilities” page will appear; look for the “Create New” section and then select “Collage” from the options provided.

3. Choose the photos you want to include in your collage, then click “Create” to actually make your collage.

By selecting “collage” from the options menu, you will access the photos in your Google Photos account. Explore your photos thoroughly and choose the ones you want to include in your collage. Again, you can only select up to nine images per collage.
